Have I selected the right funds for long term investment

I have SIP of Rs. 1000 each in Franklin Templeton Tax Shield and Axis Long Term Equity, Rs. 2000 each in Quantum Long Term Equity and Birla Sun life Equity Fund. All these funds are in Direct/Growth category. I am 28 years old and am looking for long term capital appreciation. Kindly let me know if my investment strategy is planned well?

The funds you have selected are amongst top performing from ELSS and diversified category of funds. These are aggressive funds and suitable for a young investor like you with a long term investment horizon.

Your strategy seems to be well planned and only thing that you should do annually is to review your mutual fund portfolio and check if the same is aligned with your long term investment goal.
